Pedometer++ allows you to measure your daily activity. It is not transmitted outside of the app.
No Personally-Identifying Information is transmitted to external locations when using Pedometer++.
Pedometer++ transmits non-personally identifiable information such as device type and operating system version to our servers. This is used in aggregate to help facilitate development decisions.
For non-subscribers, Pedometer++ may display advertisements within the application. These are managed by Google's AdMob system. I have configured my advertising to minimize the privacy considerations often inherit with advertising. I don't show personalized ads within the app. Additionally, I have disabled all of Google's user tracking and analytics capabilities for ads shown within Pedometer++. Mapping Tiles are retrieved from the Thunderforest mapping service. These typically correspond to the general area you are located in but do not provide your exact location to this service. You can read more about Thunderforest's privacy policies here.
UK Mapping Tiles can be retrieved from the Ordnance Survey mapping service. These typically correspond to the general area you are located in but do not provide your exact location to this service. You can read more about Ordnance Survey's privacy policies here.
Walking route planning is retrieved from the Mapbox mapping service. These requests will include whatever GPS coordinate waypoints you enter in the route editor. You can read more about Mapbox's privacy policies here.
Elevation data is retrieved from the GPXZ mapping service. These requests will include whatever GPS coordinate waypoints you enter in the route editor, and any intermediate waypoints calculated along your routes. You can read more about GPXZ's privacy policies here.
If you choose to have Pedometer++ integrate with HealthKit then the application will have access only to the health data types you opt-in to access.
The health data read from HealthKit is used for display within the app. It is not collected or disclosed outside of your local installation of the app. Only those data types relevant to the app are accessed.
Pedometer++ requests permission to write certain data types into your HealthKit data store. These are used when you perform a walking workout from an Apple Watch.
In no case is your health data ever transfered to a 3rd party. It is only ever kept within the application container of Pedometer++ or transfered to your personal HealthKit data store as per your permission choices.
A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor's computer, and that the visitor's browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. The Pedometer++ website identify and track visitors, their usage of Pedometer++ website, and their website access preferences. The Pedometer++ website visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using Pedometer++'s websites.
If Pedometer++, or substantially all of its assets, were acquired, or in the unlikely event that Pedometer++ goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party.
